A thought for the holiday weekend....

I just cannot believe it...My preemie triplets are now junior high students!

Yup...They started on Monday, and seem to enjoy it so far. Well, that is the little bit of info that I can squeeze out of their hormon ridden brains! Tobey is in love with a cheerleader or two and Tylor thinks that having a locker is one of the best things to EVER happen!

You Have Got to Be Kidding....

Last night, I was eating a burrito. Nothing chewy or hard, just a simple burrito. After one of my bites, I take a drink and then stop to realize that I feel a draft in my mouth. One of my crowns from July had come off. To make it even more interesting, I swallowed it! Holy cow! $5oo just went down my throat.

I proceed to go into the bathroom and try to barf up my investment. After I spew all of the contents of my stomach from the day, I still have not found my tooth.

I then call the dentist and am phoned back by the dentist who owns the practice (not the one that I see). He tells me that he will go into the office today, look at my chart, and then call me. "It is much easier if we recover the crown" is what he says. I told that I really did try, but I had no luck.

All I can think is that they BETTER replace it because crowns should NOT just fall off 6 weeks after being placed....

Add to all of this the fact that I have new students on Monday and you have the makings of a great school year beginning....Lucky me...

Th WORST time of year.....

I am back to work. This is an awful time of year. On top of returning to work, I have to get my 3 pre-teens ready for junior high, run kids to and from extra-curricular activities, and manage everything else that is going on....

I wish that I had a different job this year, but I am still teaching at OMS. I am just so NOT "into" it. I need to pick myself up and get a better attitude. Otherwise, I am in for a long year!

I LOVE to see my kids at the beach....It seems to have such a calming effect on them...The kind of thing that soothes your soul....

I have to say that this is the PERFECT way to end my summer. If you have to head back to work, better to do it with THIS memory!

I do not think that there could be much more going on in this house.....

Today, we headed off to the LAST 2 places that we needed to hit before school started. H & H Music Store and Academy. H & H for the trombone for Tylor and euphonium mouthpiece for Tobey. We are now in the rent-to-own process for a $1000 trombone. It will take 3 years to pay and who even knows if it will be WHAT he wants to do?? Good thing is that we are not bound to the contract and can back out at any time. He WILL stick it out for this year at least and then he can decide. I feel that kids this age should know WHAT commitment is and actually adhere to it. Academy brought in the tennis shoes for the boys. 2 pairs for Tylor and 1 for Tobey. He only got 1 pair because he picks up his new braces in Sept. and I want to make sure that they fit over them before I buy 2 pairs.

This fall, we will have:

A trombone player



A euphonium player



A state champion 1st degree blackbelt working on his 2nd degree



A KYF Senior Varsity Cardinal football player



Oh yea. A Mom that works full time will be shuttling them to and from these locations while maintaining a household, cooking dinner, and finding time for 2 VERY rambunctious toddlers. We will also fit in the various doctors, therapists, and other things that come with 5 kids.

Life with 3 pre-teens and 2 toddlers...Always throws you for a loop....

Depression has set in....

I have 1 week left. That is it!

I cannot believe that my summer is over already and that I am heading back to work. Not excited at all about this year, and I really need to change that. I wanted to be somewhere else so bad, and I am just so disappointed. That said, I need to get over it and have a better attitude as the wrong attitude can make for a LONG school year and no one needs that!

I head back on the 19th, and the kids on the 25th. I am a bit nervous/excited about that. 3 junior high students. Fun and scary at the same time!

My Obession with Shoes Continues on....

Yes, I have been told that the first step in recovery is admitting that there is a problem. I LOVE Guitar Hero! I have started playing it and REALLY REALLY like it now. I was REALLY bad at it at first, but am SLOWLY getting better. The things that we do for fun when we are moms just amazes me.....
